The Afterlife was a thirty to thirty-five foot pleasure craft.
It belonged to an older couple and their son and daughter-in-law. Their boat was taken over by pirates in Cozumel; who killed the younger couple and imprisoned the parents. When Afterlife approached the Lucky Lady with armed men aboard, Chuck Johnson, Steve Sharp and the rest of their crew killed the pirates and freed the Mitchells.[1]
The owners were Robert Mitchell (Bob) and Mildred Mitchell (Millie).[2]
